Cooler
Cull straight off the card.
Insert an SD card, rip through every shot with the keyboard, reject the misses, and delete them from the card. Then import the keepers with Photos or Lightroom as usual.
Instant
Shows the camera's own JPEG or HEIF preview instead of decoding raws, and loads the next frames ahead of you. Raw files from every major brand come along with their previews.
Keyboard-only
X rejects and moves on, arrows navigate, Z zooms to 100%, ⌘Z undoes. Everything you don't reject stays.
Safe
Nothing is deleted until you've reviewed every reject. Pull the card or quit mid-cull and your decisions are waiting when you insert it again.
Get started in a minute
- Download Cooler, open the disk image and drag Cooler into Applications. It's signed and notarized by Apple.
- Insert a camera card. The first time, press Return to grant Cooler access to it; known cards open on their own after that.
- Press Return to start culling, Return again to review the rejects, then delete them from the card.
- Cooler updates itself. You can also choose Cooler → Check for Updates…
